sample

less than $1, installs in 10 seconds, adjustable, and if you can take it off and reuse it later if you want.

Genius!!!

support wire is a nonfactor for entanglement.

Takes all of 20 seconds to take the end of a piece of 16/14/11 gauge wire, bend it over into a C with a pair of needle nose pliers, cut the C off the wire and crimp the C onto the snare. Plus it would not nearly be as heavy, bulky and shiny as a cable clamp..

For your convenience smash just make them or order them to your states requirements. One and done. After a catch save the parts and have purchased parts to build more. Snare building is cheap especially if you already have the parts..

I tie a simple knot in mine, the cable is junk once you catch anyway, so as Seldom said, mark it with a sharpie, twist a loop, thread the end back thru and pull it tight, done. I operate cranes for a living and while I would not lift bridge beams that way I'd hold every coyote ever with a knotted cable. Crazy white folks, I swear.

RegularJoe your pen comment reminded me of this song!

At CitiBank we will meet accidentally, we’ll start to talk when she borrows my pen!

If cable is like regular rope, tieing a knot reduces the strength of the cable by half so if avoid that

Just go to a bait shop and buy a small bag of split shot and smash it on with some channel locks. I wouldn't tie a knot in them, it's hard enough to get them them loaded and hanging perfectly without adding a kink in the cable. Or go to the hardware store and buy a couple feet of 16ga wire and cut 1/2 inch pieces off it and put them in a vice and bend them in a V like the pic above, then smash them on with channel locks.
