Korosil has stories about ADC beaver in Winnipeg. He’s covered with insurance, piles of warning signs and the city backs him up. None of the jerks make it into the news though.

I wanna see these broken teeth.
“Dog bit the owner because it was in pain”? How about maybe panicked.
Also where is this trap? You’d think she would photograph how large and intimidating it is
I will say that the woman sounded reasonable in not insisting that people don’t trap there but move the traps off the trail.

What younz doing walking down raccoon creek anyhows ? Get back in the haas, it’s slippy out!!!

I commented on the Facebook tirade... I couldn't help myself. Too much coffee!

4.5 million people are bitten by dogs in the US each year (per the CDC). Should we ban them from state parks? Your risk from a foothold trap is zero. If you step on one, you won't even know it until you move your foot and it closes behind you. If your dog steps on one, don't "freak out", just calmly remove it. My 14 year old lab stepped on one the other day, she was fine. State parks aren't dog parks, keep them on a leash.

Trappers get kicked in face again...........

With no trapping maybe her dogs would be carried off by coyote...

With no trapping maybe too many racoon, possibly with rabies would bite her...

Just a thought ......I've never heard of a dog that can read a sign " stay on path "

How about getting citation for excrement and urine her 3 dogs leave .....

I’m sure dog wasn’t on leash but will leave that part out for the reason of only trying to make trapping look bad and not the dog owner breaking any laws retaining to walking there dogs. Yeah dog probably would of still got in trap but still if going to point all the bad things in your story point out what you were doing wrong as well for you were told the trapper was doing everything legal but perhaps you weren’t dog walker.

She's either lying about the dog losing teeth or the dog had really bad teeth to start with. My guess is she's lying just to come up with a way the dog was injured because it probably didn't even limp for more than a couple of steps at most. I've caught my own dogs several times, never and problems.
