I’m stretching my beaver on plywood right now and was wondering how people are either hanging them somehow, or propping them on a wall, or have made a little contraption to hold them.
So I guess what I am asking is where do you put the beaver boards after you tack them on the board.
******* I save my sick days, because come winter, I'm gonna have a bad case of trappin fever *******

Drill a 3/4 inch hole near the top and bottom in the midline, Put a skin on each side of the board to dry and hang the boards on a nail from the rafters in your basement or shed. Once they are dry you can stack them like Kre said.If they curl lay them on a beaver board and put another beaver board on top as you add to the stack ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-21521-244160-dscf0775.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-21521-244161-dscf2417.jpg)

I built it with 3/4" plywood and siding (I had both laying around) so it isn't really hurting anything, I might replace the siding in 6 or 7 years if I trap enough beaver and I get offered to haul away more building materials when people order the wrong stuff, if not oh well.

I scored a bunch of 3/4 inch plywood last fall. 40 full sized sheets. It was used as forming for a bridge job there must have been a hundred sheets or more and a huge pile of 2x4s and 2x6s.I asked the guy at the bridge I they were scrapping it all and he said yes.I asked if I could salvage some,he said go ahead but there were already people hauling it off.I filled the truck bed and a trailer with plywood,no room for very much 2x4s but I did get some. I got enough 3/4 inch plywood now for beaver boards for the rest of my life and then some, lol. Only had to pull a few nails around the edges.

A good friend of mine works for a residential construction outfit down in Anchorage, so when they order the wrong stuff, or get too much he calls me and I hitch up a trailer and go get everything I can fit. I have about enough to start building my own Dr. Seuss house lol

Dang! Would have loved to get in on a deal like that. Good for you Boco. Probably would have been frowned upon to ask if they deliver?

Plus more nails and screws than I could ever possibly use. He really is a handy friend to have around. All he asks in return is when they get behind schedule clearing new lots I come run an excavator for a few days at a time to pick up the slack. He's tried to hire me a few times, but I can't reasonably commute that everyday and I wholeheartedly refuse to live in Anchorage.
