I started a low carb diet approximately late spring. Started of at 332lbs. I'm now at 238. Approaching my 100 lb goal. I stalled out a little around the holidays from more inactivity and eating a couple more carbs. But I'm back on the bandwagon again.
I eat a lot of venison, walleye, broccoli, brussel sprouts and cheese.
I shun the white carbs like bread, pasta, cauliflower, rice and potatoes.
I started because of one high A1C reading at the doctor. I was instantly offord a drug like ozempic. I declined on the drug and figured I'd just shut my pie hole and change my diet and way of thinking. It's been working for me and my sugar was back to normal in a few weeks and my blood checks have been normal for everything since changing my diet.
I wish all of you good health

cauliflower even though its white, is low carb and healthy

I recently added some potatoes, but only if their baked or boiled first then refrigerated over night, that develops the resistant starch so makes it a much lower carb, the resistant starch stays when you reheat it and is only digested in the colon as food for your good bacteria .Also whole grains are high in resistant starch as long as you don't cook it, Been making Muesli and having that twice a week with full fat milk or cream, could use yogurt too....I boost the protein with cottage cheese,,,Otherwise it's meat, fat, and low glycemic vegetables, and coffee, lots of coffee, lol

I'm on day 7..........-13 already, and feel better I have to ask. If a person loses that much that fast you must be dehydrated or on the toilet a lot. Of course some one with a beginning weight that is really high could I guess?
