Going to set up a deer lease for predators first of February. Of course the members would like to rid themselves of as many coon as possible. Since it's love making time in the coon world the boars are attracted to gland lure more than food. If a fellow wanted to take advantage of such an opportunity what is the best type sets, besides cat and coyote sets, a fellow could make using glands?

First . . .find a quality raccoon gland, which isn't 90% urine.

Cage traps and 220 boxes have worked well for me inside or near a structure.
Beaver castor and pure or tinctured skunk essence will attract large boar 'coon in cold weather.

Had any experience with Boar's Delight? Have a bottle I bought a few years back to try.

Boar's Delight is good stuff.
A dab on the lip of a DP works well.

Grape or cherry flavored catfood in DP’s or a single white egg in a cage trap will catch coons, possums, and Grays in all. Bobcats will also be caught in the cages. I have put a dab of fox gland on the DP’s but honestly can’t say if it increased catches.
This time of year plain corn or peanuts just enough to cover the trigger in a DP will produce.

When I normally trap coons it's usually in December. When I catch coons this time of year it's usually in coyote/bobcat sets using gland based lures. I'll definitely use baited sets but do want to try the Boar's Delight or other gland lures. I know I'll catch plenty in that perfect cat or coyote set.Lol
