This truck is going to become farm use only and I've had enough of the communist EPA regulation BS on diesel exhaust. As I'm looking at delete kits, there are hundreds of them. Scanned over a few diesel forums and not much in the way of which tuners are good, bad, evil... For anyone that has done the EGR/DPF delete, which kit did you go with and why?

The only thing worse than losing........Is QUITTING!

I went with EFILive on my 08. I bought the cheap one that will only do one truck, you can't transfer it to another rig later...because I'm cheap. Probably should have paid more for the other, because I am looking at replacing the junk automatic tranny with a stick, and I believe I will have to buy a new tuner if I do so. At the time I bought it EFILive had a lot of great reviews and was the go to for Duramaxes, while Cummins had quite a few different options with good reviews, I opted for the EFILive and other than wishing I had bought the next step up in a more versatile tuner, I have not been unhappy. Gained 5-6 mpg with the delete and tune, on my 6.7, plus it is much healthier for the motor. Anyone care to tell me how burning 1/4 to 1/3 more fuel results in lower emissions?

If you burn more fuel per mile you will have more emissions.

The programming is the most important thing, I had a tune flashed to the ECM permanently on my 2013, it's not adjustable (unless you plugged it in to re program it) but I'm very happy with it. It's pushing the limits for a work truck, but it serves that purpose really well and it's fun to drive on the road. And it's not so much juice that I break stuff all the time (it's around 575 at the rear wheels)

Edited my post. Should have read "Anyone care to tell me how burning 1/4 to 1/3 more fuel results in lower emissions?"

The fass is a good way to go on the older trucks. The newer ones have a good enough filter system (the second filter between the fuel tank and the frame rail is a pain to get to though) I like to put a sump from beans diesel performance in the tanks, it saves the lifter pumps because it's gravity feeding the fuel instead of pulling it from a draw straw, the lift pumps failing is what kills injection pumps. I've had that very issue on more occasions than one. I do like to switch them over to caterpillar filters, they make a really good filter and you can get adapters for them to go on a Cummins
