Democrats in CO introduced a bill that would further restrict firearm access in the state. It would prohibit the purchase, manufacturing, distributing, or transferring of a semi-auto rifle or shotgun with a detachable magazine.
CO republicans labeled SB-003 as the most extreme gun bill in CO history.
With democrats holding a trifecta in the state, it's likely the republicans will be unable to do little to stop passage of the bill which would take effect September 1, 2025.
Yet, according to Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun violence prevention group, gun violence in CO remains higher than the national average.
We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.

Stupid. Analyze and treat the root of the problem, not the tools they use. If the anti-gun freaks didn't use cars, knives, rope, hammers,.....they would try to ban that too. Do these idiots take steroids???? Seems like stupidity is growing at an exponential growth rate

According to an outfitter from Craig, Colorado has become overwhelmed with CA liberal migrants who are anti-gun and anti-hunting. They've pretty much been able to eliminate any trapping in the state too.

Why do people tolerate this? We have rights for a reason...use them. They did use their rights, to vote those clowns into office. So now what choice do they have? That's the tyranny of democracy. They voted those representatives in in legitimate elections, now they have to suffer the consequences. Who can they blame? The clowns in the legislature? Their neighbors who voted the clowns in?

Wow a simple common small caliber gun like a Ruger 10/22, with its semi auto format and fed by a little detachable 10-round rotary standard clip, would be deemed illegal. This is super stupid.
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

My Browning Citori with a single trigger is now illegal. The goal is to make it to difficult to own or possess any firearm or ammo. They just never admit it and it's always either "For the children" or "Gun safety".

Why do people tolerate this? We have rights for a reason...use them. And Liberals are doing just that, they are making new restrictive laws. To many Democrat voters here, you can't fight it. Non-compliance. Look at the pistol brace fiasco, literally nobody got rid of their brace and they decided it was highly impractical to pursue felony warrants on half the nation

Cousin does not hunt anymore and neither do his kids. One is a felon. Offered to give me some guns belonging to his dad, my uncle, and some that were our grandfathers. He lives in CO and wanted to go to a FFL dealer and go through the transfer paperwork and fees to follow state law. I told him next time he comes to KS to bring them with him and give them to me here. He has not done it. I dont think he will. He likes those laws.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

This is how wacky this state has become:
"November 1996, Colorado voters approved constitutional amendment 14, an anti-trapping initiative which prohibited the taking of wildlife with any leghold trap, any instant kill body gripping design trap, or by poison or snare."
Banning firearms is the first step in doing away with hunting as well. Obviously a state that knows next to nothing about conservation.

At least when your guns get banned, you won't have to have special bowhunting seasons.
