Gonna try to grow some french fingerling and austrian crescent potatoes this year.

Any of you have any experience or advice?

We grow fingerlings. Grow them just like the other varieties. They sell really well at the farmer's market.

The reviews I read talk about how delicious these potatoes are so I thought I would give it a whirl.

I have learned to ask for advice due to the 14 years of mistakes I have made gardening. LOL!!!

Austrian Cresent seem to do better than the French variety. Rose Finn Apple is very good also, they and the AC have some huge yields. Nothing like Kennebec but better than some other varieties. You get a yellow potato with out the frustration of Yukon Gold. mike

Yukon Golds are the only potato my wife will buy. Best baked potato ever!

It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.

Yukon Gem are a yellow potato that as good or better than Yukon Gold. Plus, they yield better and store very well. One of our standards.
We also grow a variety of russets called Cariboo. Good bakers and also store very well.

I was raised on the red skinned taters, rarely had whites, they cost a whole lot more then. 1950's and 60's.
