If I'm at a stop sign and there's a car coming down the street with his right turn signal blinking a right turn I assume he's turning so I pull out but he's not turning and he hits me..who's at fault? I think I probly am. That's happened to me twice in my lifetime so I just don't believe turn signals anymore.

You would be at fault as you are suppose to remain stopped untill all traffic has cleared.

I don’t think you’re at fault. Might be hard to prove the blinker was on if it was an older vehicle though.

Yes I'm at fault every time. It's okay to have your turn signal on and not turn. Just kidding!!!

Only thing that the blinker means is that the turn signal is working! grin

You would be at fault alot of older people gave there blinkers on and don't even know it because they don't hear the clicking noise it makes I see it all the time and the person driving is a older.

When I was teaching my kids to drive I always told them to never mind if you see they have a turn signal on. The signal doesn't control the car, watch them, most folks are idiots and you got to stay on your toes, don't expect they know what they're doing

what do you consider older? I caught myself driving with my blinker on many times the last few years when I go to turn it on to change lanes and it's already on from the last time who know how far back. I will be 45 this year but have 70% hearing loss in one ear and 60% loss in the other side.

Every time I get the mental image of being like a 70+ year old and just smile sheepishly and shake my head.

Yeah, it's on you, got to wait a couple seconds more to determine if they're really going to turn or not...

I've learned its not so much if I'm right or wrong. A lot of people in the right get killed. At that point being right might only matter to your heirs and the insurance.

I NEVER trust turn signals on another car! If it's on or even off, I wait to see what the other guy is doing first. People are too stupid to trust.

Never believe the turn signal until the vehicle commits to the turn.

X2

I sit still until they start turning.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Around here nobody uses a signal! You have to guess where THEY intend to go. Plenty of stupid people everywhere. Ya ya I know it's so hard to move that lever, might have to move a finger!

People sometimes get aggraveted at me because I don't pull out with a vehicle coming with it's blinker on. I don't know if it's turning in at the drive right before the one I'm at or pulling in right beside me or the next drive down or even at all.

I had a guy who worked for me, whose crooked uncle removed the handle from his turn signal and rigged a screwdriver, so that he could work the signal and remove the screwdriver. He would intentionally put on the left turn signal, to make it look like he was turning left and then went straight and hit people turning left. He then removed the screwdriver. When his victims said he had his left signal on, he would show the office taking the accident report, that his signal handle was broken off. He would then say there was no possible way it could be on. He lived off of fraudulent insurance compensation for his vehicles and personal injury claims.

You would be at fault. Always wait until the car starts his turn, therefore you avoid any chance of a collision.

I drive as though everyone else on the road, whether I can see them yet or not, are trying to kill me.
If I am ever in an accident, it would be MY fault because of failing Spidey sense and/or declining ninja driving skills.
