Hi guys,
I caught a coon in one of my fox sets this morning and he did a lot of rushing at me and hissing before I shot him. I've only ever caught coons in live traps before, and never had them rush at me or hiss before. Wondering if that is normal coon behavior?

Yes, wait until you have a 50 plus pound beaver try and bite you with switchblade teeth. Animals are quick, be careful and don't put yourself in the danger zone.

Stay out of the catch circle, I was taking pictures of one a few seasons ago and slipped in some mud and ended up falling into the catch circle. I was lucky that morning

The one for fleas and ticks.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

if I could take every awe isn't that cute person to see a Pissing mad , hissing , growling coon lunging at you , I bet they would think they are a lot less cute.

they are little bears is what they are.

how cute are they when they are ripping the siding off your house to gain entry like some sort of horror movie scene

the destructive ability on buildings is massive

got a pole building where they poured the concrete to the inside of the posts and not the outside they dig under the side and come up inside the wall.

you can also use permethrin dust or mix permethrin concentrate and put it in a spray bottle or garden sprayer

lay out your catches spray them down and let them dry.

you can make a lot of spray from a quart of concentrate

It’s nice that we don’t have fleas or ticks up here.

Released a small one a few years ago, was docile while I removed the DP but as soon as I took the catch pole off he came right at me. I jumped back and gave him a solid "love tap" on his nose and he decided the other way was a better direction of travel. Lol

Thanks why I like a rifle rather than a pistol. Keep a little distance.

Hot water shower gets the fleas and ticks off when your done. I dont want to be around bug spray very often. Scares me more than bugs.

You need a better pistol wi outdoors
