Lot of you post you are on carb free or low carb diets. Please share what a normal day menu would be. No carb I think of meat only. But that's why I ask. I mean meals you actually have . NOT items that you can eat. Thanks. When a person looks at labels it is scary how many carbs we take in just "eating" what we think is a healthy diet.

Thanks.

This morning 4 slices of thick cut bacon and 3 over medium eggs and 2 dill pickles. Lunch and dinner I'm not sure what's in the containers my wife packed tell I open them. When I get off work at ll if I'm hungry I will make more eggs and bacon. Repeat all week

snacks almonds, and package of tuna, cheese, Drinks: water, unsweetened tea, coffee no sugar but some heavy cream

If I have a day that's not 16 hrs I will go to a steakhouse and get a porter house salad and steamed vegetables.

While working that's generally it. When home wife cooks so many things( sames stuff in my containers she sends) a lot of it I don't know the names of and often what's has been charged out to reduce or eliminate the carbs.

There's no menu per se, at least for me..
basically you start with a protein, meat, fish, eggs, cottage cheese. add sautéed onions, peppers, etc...or pretty much any vegetable and salads in moderation , avoid in the beginning potatoes, bread, pasta, rice.
drink coffee, seltzer, water, tea etc. No soda or fruit juice...avoid high sugar anything...don't be afraid of fat, limit seed oils...
I use the carb counters tortillas for wraps and sandwiches....essentially you just mix and match what you like, for whatever meal....it becomes a habit, so easy to stay with...

Scrambled eggs with diced jalapenos and bacon for breakfast. Eating bratwurst for lunch with some radishes and celery on the side. Supper is going to be steak. No sure what kind of rabbit food. I am hoping for broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce. Got cucumber slices and chopped onion marinating in a cider vinegar water mix in the fridge to snack on. I eat a lot of pecans for snacks. I dont shell them till them I eat them so I dont eat to many. Made a little jerky and bagged it up. Keep it in the freezer. Thaw one out time to time.

I could live with these pretty easy . My issue is I want a piece of bread with everything. Some foods I've stopped because my wife is type 1 diabetic .47 years and counting. NO ISSUES for her except 1 cataract

I drink water 95% of the time. Occasionally glass of skim milk.

As I see it, the biggest problem is if your wife isn't on board a low carb diet and you let her cook, lol

I rarely eat bread. If do its because one of my daughters has some homemade. I will eat one thick slice, occasionally, slathered with butter.

I started carnivore on dec I think 20 the only thing I have bacon, pork butt I make into ham, steak and fish. I have coffee with heavy cream for breakfast, lunch usually boiled shrimp and bacon or ham , lobster tails and air fried shrimp, steak ribeye or salmon. Lost 18 lb . Was told I was pre diabetic at 6.9 and now at 5.3. Arthritis in my foot is gone and I was able to start hitting the gym this week. I’m being pretty strick right now and will continue for 6 more weeks and then I start adding a little more onions and asparagus.

A nice balance is something like eggs for breakfast, cheese and nuts for a lunch, and then a meat dish for dinner with veggies on the side. Pork rinds for a snack on days you want something crunchy or maybe olives if you're into them. Pickling can also give you some nice variety between eggs and veggies.

And I'll drink diet sodas sometimes but some people get cravings afterwords so most people recommend avoiding them.

When you're really in no carb territory you get hungry less often I find, so I usually focus on one main meal a day where I cook up a steak, a pork loin, or some other main dish that's meat. And the other two meals will be like a single egg or couple slices of cheese, just enough to keep my body running.

I've been low carb for about 3 years. My a1c went from 9.4 to 5.4 and I lost about 80 pounds. My diet is pretty much like everyone else is saying. One thing I really missed was pancakes. My wife found a mix called carb quick. It makes pretty good pancakes, waffles and muffins. I use sugar free syrup and it doesn't raise my blood sugar appreciably.

I cook up a bunch of bacon and will eat that when I'm hungry until its gone 2-3 days later.
Then I'll cook up a bunch of sausage patties and do the same thing.
Same deal with hamburger.
Same thing with a roasted chicken.
From time to time I will buy broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus for in between or when the meat runs out before the end of the day.
I take cans of Vienna sausage with me when I'm on the road working, which is often. This works to tide me over so that I am not tempted to eat fast food.
The key for me is to always have something available at all times so that I am not in a pinch and fall off the wagon.
Ranch dressing seem to help me enjoy the raw broccoli and cauliflower.

I kept below 20 carbs a day for the last two weeks. Probably was 10 or less Breakfast was eggs with hot sauce. Lunch was a new York strip every day at work. Dinner was chicken with hot sauce. Coffee and water only. Snack on cheese and little bit of veggies. Cottage cheese too. Multi vitamin. This was strict and just do dump the first 15 to 20 lbs fast. Now I'm going to incorporate other foods like oranges and berries with Greek yogurt. Asparagus and broccoli. Just gotta stay under 50 grams of carbs.

Wife makes chaffle It's two eggs, a quarter of a cup of cheese, and a couple tablespoons of almond flour. and poore it in the waffle maker. typically then used the bread like textured waffle like a tacos putting stuff in the middle like eggs, sausage, bacon, some veggies ect. Makes a nice change and nice texture.

Heavy cream has less carbs than milk and half and half if you like cream in coffee.

When it's working right you rarely get hungry, I usually get by with a late breakfast and supper, I've gone all day occasionally with one meal at dinner, not on purpose but that's how it worked out, still not that hungry...the fats sustain you over starchy carbs...once you get down to your target weight you can add items in moderation, but it needs to be real food, you can tell if it's real if you have to cook it.. grin
