Day after Pearl Harbor.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

THAT is fun stuff. In Europe the fox hunt clubs are very popular. I am part of an online group in Ireland and England. I follow the cross country events and fast track events. Nowadays they use a scent trail for the hounds to follow.

It used to be foxes.

For me it is just as fun . A huge group of horsemen, all ages, men ,women , and often children, and a neat variety of hunter jumpers to admire. The hounds are very well trained and follow the master with his calling horn . They never go in front of him. Always staying to his sides and behind...until they are turned loose on the scent trail by the master. The group of riders stay behind the masters and out of the hound's way.

Its really a great cooperative team of riders and land owners, who offer vast areas of their land for the hunt . It is very fun. Some are timed speed races , others just fun easy rides. With jumps planned along the way , varied in ability and difficulty.

After the hunts, the horses are fed and tied to trailers, the hounds cared for and put up, the groups often meet at a nice pub for drinks and a hot meal, happily reliving the days events.

I'm not familiar with that particular hunt, but similar sport has been enjoyed by several countries to this day.

Some English fox hunters took took horses and hounds to NE to chase coyotes on the Haythorne ranch back in the 90's. The cowboys didnt think much of them and thought it was pretty hilarious. They only went once to my knowledge.

The first property case you learn about in law school is Pierson v. Post. Lodowick Post was running a red fox with his dogs and some friends. The fox ran by Jesse Pierson, who shot and took the fox. Post sued him for the fox. The majority opinion sided with Pierson. It's considered the most important property precedent case ever decided in the US.

I would enjoy going on a traditional fox hunt, with all the regaila and heritage.
