Make sure your trap can fire, I missed a big yote two days ago because the wax dirt got rained on real hard and it froze real hard and all around the set right in the kill area the yote worked and he took my bait. Looks like yote or fox

Yeah, I didn't use waxed dirt for that one, but I used dry sandy dirt and they seem to always fire even with snow on it

Got some coon snares out today, never snared em but ima try it. I have so much more trapping spots I want to hit before season ends!!

The set is 4 to 5 inches off the ground cause that’s what a video I watched said to put it and the loop is a little bigger then a coons head

Snares with a deerstop, relaxing lock, so it won’t kill them i don’t think unless they get tangled up

That will definitely be interesting if you catch one! I had never heard of the idea to snare a coon. Good luck! i will prob stick a dp in there soon but its worth a shot
