I just made beef stroganoff the other night and it got me thinking about Hungarian paprikash. That’s a very easy supper to make and could accommodate variations . You can serve over noodles of any kind or even mashed potatoes. Just need chicken, some broth or bouillon cubes. Lots of onion, paprika, and sour cream.
Can have a green vegetable or a salad on the side. Most folks have these ingredients on hand.
That’s just off the top of my head for something you can make without going to the store

Just cooked up a pot of bass chowder and eating a bowl with sourdough toast right now. Soup is always good on a winter day. [Linked Image]

You might want to add some biscuits and gravy to complete that meal.

I like to make breakfast tacos for supper from time to time
Everything goes inside a pancake folded like a taco and dipped in syrup

I fried up some deer burger in a little beef tallow. Had chopped onions and bell pepper in it. When done I added a little beef broth to get everything out of the skillet and put it in the crock pot. Added rotel tomatoes with chili. Salt pepper and cumin. Can of green beans. Some cauliflower. let it cook awhile. added grated cheese. Waiting for it to melt now

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
