I did the vision quest back in the 90s, it consisted of fasting for 24 hours with only taking in wild lettuce that was made into a tea. It's a natural laxative. It was winter and I was taken into a sweat lodge and given a large mug of some disgusting drink that had crushed morning glory seeds in it. About 8 hours later I was escorted outside ( naked) and left in the cold for what seemed like forever, but I was told later it was only an hour.
I had a vision and my spirit animal is the snake.
So that's my totem animal There's videos on YouTube showing people how make what looks like black tar heroin, out of the latex from wild lettuce. Morning glory seeds are a hallucinogen too. Keith

So if you find a totem in a dream does the animal speak to you or do you dream your the animal? How do you recognize it?

So if you find a totem in a dream does the animal speak to you or do you dream your the animal? How do you recognize it? You see it in your dream but not all dreams are the same so you could also be that animal.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
