The way the National Anthem was sung. These worthless so called artist disgracing the Anthem. Just sing the song the way it should be. Reminds me of the Rosie O'Donnell crap. Most who sing it don't know the true meaning or have a care.
I could care less about the super bowl. The ads is what I like. Plus my wife wants me to watch it with her. Need to keep the peace if I want peace.

I guess the last supper bowl I saw part of was in 1981 or 1982. It wasn't a big enough event for me to remember. I can't say I missed it since any. Not even the adds.

I'm not offended, I grew up listening to RUN DMC, it's tricky to be as good as them when P Diddy puts you out there. I can name some Rap songs everyone loves. This guy is a DEI rapper, heck vanilla ice had no talent but his music was catchy, this was just .... bad.

I was going to say the same thing, but thought better of it. Now that you did, I agree with you. I especially didn't like the ending the way he (I think it was a guy) kept repeating, "land of the free" like he didn't want to stop singing. Sing it the way it's been sung with the original melody and stop adding or changing it. It's supposed to be a song that expresses pride and freedom in your country and how it got that way.

I was left wondering what exactly the half time show was , but then I decided it wasn't intended for me as the audience and so if other people like that , have at it.

I didn't watch much of it , but it must have been a heck of a game , I had to wake him up to turn off the TV when it was over

It's tough to teach the grandkids respect for the flag. Granddaughter asked after the performance, "Grandpa, why did you want me to put my hand over my heart, that wasn't the National Anthem?" It took a bit of explaining; but deep down, I had it agree with her the way the National Anthem was sung; I guess I'm just a traditionalist! I wasn't offended and in some weird, unique, artistic way I sort of liked it; but a hard no, that was an abomination of how the National Anthem should be sung!
