Any chance you could make a video and show us what you mean? Be sure to use live ammo to make it realistic.
No Im a free trade proponent. Bummer.

As long as they don't put a tariff on Geddy I am fine with Canadiens! What about Neal and Alex? You good with tariffs on them?

Gang… what would a 25 percent tariff on metals do the scrap metal market?? Increase demand for American scrap?? It did last time. There's a place around here that sells bulk hot rolled steel, several aluminum alloys, and some stainless. The cut to order for the big guys but anyone can walk in and buy metal. Big metal is sold by the foot. The scraps cut off long stock they cut to order is sold by the pound. When Trump's first tarrifs hit, the per pound price on cut scrap went way up. Their explanation was: the cut scraps are priced (for retail) based on what they can get out of it selling for scrap. They said the tarifs significantly increased the value of domestic scrap, so it made no sense to sell it as cheaply as they did before. That was only a few years ago. I don't see why it would be any different this time.

This is supposed to reduce the imports from China and create jobs here. Will it work? In the last yet decades your country has went from 19 to something like 5 smelting plants. Production is a shell of what it once was. Again, while I understand the idea my question is will it work or will it just raise prices for consumers?

US metal prices are already spiking in anticipation of the tarifs taking affect. Here's how much the US copper price is over the LME (London Metal Exchange) price: As I understand it, this is not the price of copper - its how much more copper is in the US compared than it is in London. The domestic premium shot up. If anyone needs electrical wire, buy it today. source

Price of guns and ammo is about to go up thanks to Trump. At least we will have guns. The little I shoot the cost won't bother me in the least. It only takes one bullet for one big game kill. Also, that makes the guns you have worth more. A wash!!!

I read an article on tariffs and how it would affect us all on the average. It said 1K to 1.2K person more a year for all the tariffs he wants too install. Not all those will happen. Tariffs are not all bad they can do the US better than harm. All most all imports we get have tariffs just not called that and are hidden with other names.
To curb tariffs and inflation just don't buy some of the things that are inflated or have tariffs if you can help it. You do without or improvise what you buy. I don't know about the rest of you, but if I had to pay $1000.00 to $1200.00 more for the products I buy and no longer had to pay Federal income tax, I would be ecstatic. Most other working Americans would be ecstatic too. Imagine what you could do if you were able to keep 10% to 32% more of your money. Keith

Any scrappers with their finger on the pulse (price) care to weigh in?

Any scrappers with their finger on the pulse (price) care to weigh in? I'm not sure but sounds like it is good I have been so busy and not taken what scrap I have off yet. I need it moved and was thinking I may take it off this week. may make that happen if prices are up. When I take scrap off it's more of a getting rid if it for free instead of having to pay at the dump. All the cash goes right into my boys hands.

Tarriffs are like the guy holding a gun to his own head and says-back off or I'll shoot the hostage. ie: Blazing Saddles! LOL
