What would you say the value of a 97 Chev 2500 4x4 with a 5 speed manual transmission 59000 miles is. Body is in good shape, all the corners are square. Inside needs a wipe down and sweep out.

Go to Kelly Blue book and figure the cost.

To me Kelly blue book can be off a fair amount. I am not sure of the engine size. But KBB says 2900.

Try several different used car sites. The differences can be quite a bit.

If it's really a nice truck I would consider contacting the guys from Bringatrailer.com or carsandbids.com. These trucks can vary widely in price depending on condition and how well they're photographed and displayed. If I was buying it I would probably expect to pay over $5,000 but I woulnd't pay over $7,500 personally (doesn't mean its not potentially worth more than that)

Used PU's are high here. The bigger and more doors the higher. Most don't want a manual transmission, they could not drive off with it. They don't care for a regular cab, so that is two strikes for most. I see PU's with 200,000 for more than a new one should cost. I would say half again as much as states to the east. I watch a lot of auctions and you don't see many with low miles. This PU belonged to a small town Fire Department. It sat in the fire house most the time.

Pictures ?

Somewhere between $5000 - $25000 would be ball park !

Color , condition and motor size being hooked to that manual transmission makes big variables.

I paid 1500 for my very rusty 1500 1998 2wd last year

you are just starting to get into collector now with a 1997 , it isn't the most desirable body style but I would think 3K should be an easy ask sold like right now to any one who knows what it is that wants it as a user.

heck I wish I could come hand you 3K right now and drive away with the truck

might get closer to 5 with the right person who wants to put collector plates on it.

it is going to very a lot by region and anyone under 30 probably would be scared off by the clutch pedal.

while anyone over 45 is probably thinking that is awesome

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

2poor Some how that looks a little different then KBB @ $2900 It is a 1997 4x4 2500 regular cab. No fancy add ons. I tried looking to more of what it was on those two sites and could not load what I wanted.

If the torsion bar suspension truck plowed snow,
expect MAJOR front end work.

3/4 ton, prolly drinks some fuel, probably a beefy engine if a fire department had it. They take good care of their equipment
If the body is solid 3k would be my bottom steal number.
If you pass on it M… let me know, I’ll give you a finders fee and get after it myself, seriously.
I like older trucks.

I bought it on a auction. I will not drive it other then to haul feed, water for the garden and fire wood. I will bet I don't run it 3000 miles a year. So fuel is not a real issue. I will let everyone know what I think once I pick it up. I was hoping to do that tomorrow, but the auction company has not got back to me yet. It will be a all day trip over and back.

Sorry Mark I thought you were considering buying it, and looking for its valu. Good luck with it!

Car and trucks are to use. I could care less about body styles, color and all the added BS. I don't care if it doesn't even have a radio. I seldom turn one on. Osky I was when I posted.
