I hope the new administration does not create a problem for veterans benefits. Trump said he would be good for vets I guess we will see.

It doesn't take brilliant intelligence, such as Elon has, to count how many great veterans are now taking good care and streamlining all avenues of office and the VA. Now that worthless fat Tester is gone the VA can see real progress . Pete, Tim Sheehy and other vets will see to that.

For the doubting ones.

How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Veterans and active troops overwhelmingly voted for President Trump, for the third time. New recruitment to the Army just hit a 17 year high. I don't think all those great men are stupid enough to support a President who will allow them to be treated badly.

Service from VA just not great in rural areas everything is a drive and Wy and slow motion. Wish you could just use any medical facility and cut the paper work..

I guess my experience with the VA has been the opposite. I found it to be quicker than getting health care through private insurance.

You can. It's called community care. But expect about a 3 month wait time.

Ol dad

Seriously? I can call my doctor and get seen tomorrow. To get my husband an appt through the VA takes 3 months.

To note though... in an emergency... you can go to ANY ER and the VA will cover it... if it is an emergency.

Staffing cuts are taking place as we type and speak. We will watch to see how that plays out over the near and long term future. local VA officers are feeling that disability claims and processes will be the first major issues of concern. The one VA hospital I attend for vision work has never been fully staffed and may well lose several positons. I will find out later this spring.

What do you do to help veterans? I am sure you could do more since it is such a concern of yours.
