Guessing GritGuy doesn’t get out much, lol. If you’ve ever heard a fox, you’d swear it was a screaming baby.
I've heard tale that on a dark night mountain lions can produce a sound eerily similar to a baby crying. Not had the pleasure (or perhaps displeasure) of hearing it myself though.

Catfishing at midnight a few years back and a mountain lion went off about 75-100 yards away. I would definitely not compare it to a baby crying

Well it doesn't surprise me any that the few on here challenging my remark, prove they can't understand and decipher
a point of understanding verses a point of teaching, and also are one big reason that non-hunters are always out to nail the
rest of us !
Lions screaming or meowing definitely do not sound like any human baby I have hear in my years of calling and being in the outdoors, people need to be getting out more !!
Wanna be, I've probably called or caught more fox here than your name suggests you can even think about doing, heard and called lions as well, most any predator that can be called, birds as well,, I feel qualified to ask others to not use human baby sounds for calling as others work better and quicker, and won't cause near the thought process of non educated people reading or protesting about using such !
Very sorry you can't see the difference in my asking not to have it discussed !

Personally we’re danged if we do and danged if we don’t. I don’t cater to anyone or group…I do me and if folks/groups don’t like it, well I personally don’t care. Life’s way too short to cater to folks. If you live in a State where you’re afraid, that’s on you. I’d move to a State more to my way of thinking vs falling in line with theirs. What I do is my business, if you like it, great. If not, well that’s great too. Everyone is so afraid to offend the other side, yet the other side isn’t afraid to offend you. Read my post, never heard a lion other than chirping, but you hear a fox or feral cat during mating season and you don’t know whether to run or investigate. So how does it feel balancing on that fence all the time? Can’t speak about what you do or enjoy doing because it might hurt someone’s feelings? Must be a hard life.
