Our son in law works for the IRS fifteen years now.
They are scared to death he will loose his job and pension.
We were supposed to have our Christmas yesterday because I had open heart surgery last December.
They decided we can't come and visit because we voted for Trump!
The left has totally lost it!

I've had an IRS issue that has taken around a year to try and resolve and still is not. The IRS claims I owe 14,000 from 2021, this was discovered while I was asking for help with a separate issue, the guy on the phone decided to go through my account and flag anything not quite right. Anyways in 2021 I sent form 940s in with checks that did not have my employer tax ID number on them, the IRS cashed the checks but failed to apply them to my account leaving me owing $14,000 with fees and interest. I can see the checks did in fact come out of my bank account, I paid it but they refuse to acknowledge that I paid because THEY CANT FIND THE MONEY. I've dealt with this to the point of exhaustion, it's cost me over 1,000 just in having my accountant send them proof over and over.

Long story short I'm pretty much forced to seek a settlement or try and take them to court, I'm exhausted, the employees are unhelpful, I'm just going to settle and be done with it.

I have 0 sympathy for the IRS employees being fired, they've been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with and what should of been cleared up with a phone call has taken over a year and tons of time with no resolution what so ever.

I'm sorry you don't get to visit your daughter, that is ridiculous but after dealing with many different IRS folks, its not surprising.

Some of the IRS agents are not well trained I have found out, and don't log in proper data as trained to do. No different than any other profession. Some do a good job some do a terrible job.

He's right that he may lose his job, what's being reported on tv isn't what's going on. They just getting rid of employee's willy nilly whether they are good or bad.

I have no sympathy for tax collectors. Had a dispute almost 30 years ago. State income tax. Guy on the phone telling me to calm down. I asked him how calm he would be if I threatened to steal his house. This was a year after an audit where I was told they still owed me 500 something. Never got a check. Just more threats. I drove up to Topeka to sort it out. Two armed guards escorted me to the office and stood outside the open door. Guy at the desk said yes they did owe me. This time I did get a check.

Never had any more problems

I hope they all lose their jobs and income tax is declared unconstitutional.

Going through similar with my 44 year old daughter, long story, but I figured she'd finally outgrown the bad decisions, cost us a lot of money, even my wife has finally cut her loose....
So I can relate, sorry it went that way....

Blue collar folks get fired, laid off, all the time. Businesses go belly up, doors get locked and folks are just out of a job. Little to no severance. It ain’t right but resilient hardy folks take it in stride and move on.

Most people working for the IRS are incompetent. With the degree they have could go anywhere and do accounting work for twice the pay.

Taxation is theft! I got hosed paying taxes on a new atv once. Instead of 600 i had to pay it twice. My fault for not keeping reciepts, but i have no sympathy for the irs or atf!

WOW I feel bad for his wife and you guys, what a way to live, but the left lost it years ago, getting so brave and carefree about their spending habits and secrets !

Now they are being shown the door and quite frankly they will need to be shoved out, it ain't over yet !

Want to hear about theft? Here in Saskatchewan our conservative provincial government that really doesn’t do much except complain about the tax policies of the federal government, charges tax on used vehicles no matter how many times they’re sold. I know, incredible theft and extreme hypocrisy.

We pay sales tax on used equipment and cars also. The b*tch is it gets taxed every year for owning it also (personal property tax).
