We don't have much from a worldly standpoint, but I gotta say I love where we live. I took these pics off my front porch, the first, two days ago, the other one this morning. We've been here nearly 50 years. Good neighbors a half mile away. Hunting, fishing and trapping within a mile. Kids and grandkids love to come often. I guess we feel rich without being rich. Care to share what it is that makes your little piece of heaven your little piece of heaven?

I have a love affair with my little chunk of dirt. No one has ever lived here full time except me. I have taken every legal furbearer that is in this area off this hunk of land. I have planted 1,000's of trees here and manipulated the land to my liking. This is the only place I have ever called home and that won't change. It isn't much but it is all mine and I have taken some pretty fine bucks from it too.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I guess our chunk of dirt has exactly what we want. Only 20 acres, but has all the big game ,except bison, in Idaho (pronghorn, .mulie, whitetail, elk. black bear, grizz, moose, sheeo, goat, mtn lion, wolf), good dirt for gardening, excellent water, no neighbors, all the furbearers, 25 miles to town. I've killed chukars, huns, blue grouse, pheasants, sage hens, and ruffed grouse here, picked arrowheads, walked 300 yards to 20" rainbow trout, 5 species of snakes, etc. QUIET.

Love my place in Va, have a high knoll that I frequently visit that overlooks my whole farm. It’s my place to reflect and recharge. Have also taken all legal fur bearers and big game off of it except elk and expect that to be a possibility if I live long enough. Eric

Our place is only 6 acres but we're surrounded by a big ranch and have no real close neighbors. National forest to the north and south of us within a couple miles. In a gap between the Castle montains and the Little Belt mountains and can see the Crazys too. Can be terribly windy but it's home

I live in the northwestern corner of New Jersey. 60 miles from New York City. No concrete jungle by me. I have been to, and trapped in different parts of the USA and nowhere has as many animals as we have here. Lots of small patches of state land to trap without needing permission. Trapping season from November 15 to March 15, 5 months of deer hunting (unlimited anterless about 12 antlered deer) 2 bears per year. No foot traps except DP's, but full snaring.

Great view Eric! Land is too flat around here to get much of a view.

I think I have caught every type of furbearer I can in this area off of my little slice of heaven. It also a good little deer hunting spot.

My little part of the world is different, and that's why I like it. I'm pretty much dead in the middle of NC, but if you drive 30 minutes in either direction it's like being in another state.

My part of the county is hilly, rocky, very historical, still relatively controlled on development. Drive 30 minutes west and you are in the concrete jungle of subdivisions and lakes. Drive 30 minutes east and you are in sand, river bottoms, and tall pine trees.

Folks would think I live in the western part of the state looking at pictures, but it's just a neat little area geographically where I'm at. I'm 2-3 hours east of the Appalachians.

Great pics, everyone. I love all your trees, 160user. I'd rather see beautiful trees and the land rather than a plain stretch of waterfront any day. And Jack, you have a most beautiful place in every way.
Here's a few shots of the surrounding land that I live in. I have Natl Forest , a wilderness area , county owned horse arena around me , and one cabin whose owner is maybe there once or twice a year. A good neighbor.
And a shot of some elk visiting.
