Jack (Gulo), We spent several summers up in the Copper Basin area years ago, hiking to and fishing some beautiful high mountain lakes. Round lake, Long lake, Green lake ring a bell? Is that anywhere near you? East of Ketchum. By the way, your place looks incredible. I fish Copper Basin every year. The only problem more and more people are camping there.

Yep, it seems all my old haunts and secret places are being discovered as well.

My backyard view ain’t that pretty like some of yours. But I got 3.5 acres and it’s home. We get a lot of deer through and I keep a pile of corn at the far corner going so they hang around. More fun than a bird feeder.
Got a fire pit and a hot tub.
All is good here.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Back nearly 50 years ago I was determined to move to Montana. Fell in love with the mountains and the life removed from urban (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). Well, life circumstances changed that to remaining in WI and making a life here. For almost 50 years I’ve never felt “at home” like I do in CO, WY, and MT. However am realizing home is where you make the majority of your best memories.
A relationship that is amazing with my parents, my wife, raising my daughters, tolerating my SIL, and visualizing what I will pass to my grandson. The skills I’ve learned, the 1000’s of people I’ve guided and outfitted, designing and building amazing custom homes. At the end of the day or week, I’ve enhanced a little 100 acre parcel that gives back to the habitat and almost 100% self sustaining. To sit any time of year in one of my stands and watch the critters is incredibly relaxing.
