GREENCOUNTYPETE trapper G Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 21,416 Green County Wisconsin	now I have an admission , what I thought were hickory nuts were actually hazel nuts , guess I have had that wrong for the last 40ish years like I said don't get them often it is always around Christmas and they have a big display of bulk nuts all the same price generally per pound scoop bag I guess she was pointing at the nut next to the one I was looking at all those years ago. America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have never seen hickory nuts available commercially. I stand corrected, just looked. Holy cow they are expensive. $11/oz. for shelled ones. $25 a pound for in the shell.
