One down a lot to go! One guy killed all but one of these, and he has a bunch more at home I guess. Lots of climbing, but hey the pack outs are most likely downhill!

That is a beautiful animal. I have always marveled at the huge crowd of folks involved in killing one sheep. When I was guiding dall sheep hunters, it was one client and one guide!

Major congratulations to your son. That is a beast of a ram.
Definitely on my bucket list.

That is awesome

Most of us will never have the opportunity to hunt, let alone kill a ram like that

Looking forward to the recap

Congrats young man

Amazing animals to watch in the wild. Congratulations on your hunt.

I never have been on a sheep hunt but have with goats. I know the work that goes into those hunts very well. They aren't for the weak and timid due to weather and terrain.

I think in this case being an extremely rare tag, intended for an area with a certain population they feel has an abundance of opportunity many come together to make it happen. I’d donate my time were I there and could offer anything constructive to the cause.
Good sportsman are happy for others successes in the outdoor endeavors.

The young man may have that certain luck some seem bestowed with when it comes to drawings. I can think of a bunch of other drawings in the hunting realm I hope he is trying for, not to mention a lottery ticket here and there.

Osky, like you said many people wanted to be a part of this hunt because not many will ever get the opportunity. Me and my son could’ve no doubt been successful without 8 other guys with us but we invited them along because we wanted friends and family with us.

He does have pretty good luck when it comes to drawing tags.

Also, if you scroll back up to my original post, I started telling the hunt story. Sorry if it’s long winded

WWS,

That is quite the collection of sheep that guy has, beautiful mounts! I guarantee his pockets are a lot deeper than mine to have harvested that many sheep. It’s getting to be a rich man’s game. The 2025 NM Rocky Mountain bighorn governors tag sold last month in Reno at the Wild Sheep Foundation banquet for $1.3 million

All the rams in the picture I posted are in a shop in Depo Bay Oregon, I talked to the guy a few times, his son shot one of those. I guess he has more at home, think he said he had two grand slams and something else with the Marco Polos and the rest. It would be a lot of climbing. He said that most of the hunts where two week hunts or longer, he was heading to Africa last time I talked with him last year.
