Those grubs probably would make decent fishing bait.
Keith I've found them often at work and tried to feed them to fish off customers docks but never had a fish actually take one, sunfish pick a bit but bass ignore them.

Need to takes a stick and push its head though until it comes out of it hindparts. All the goodies are on the inside. Catalpa worms don't get bit either until you run them inside out. Once you do, there isn't any bait which gets bit better than that. Thanks, ill definitely try that.

Nope That is a grub worm Lawn pest and will become a June bug when mature I bet you found it under a piece of decaying wood? I find those others in oak I am splitting all the time, think they turn into a black beetle that is about an inch long No idea what name they have
