The number of fur auctions I've seen recently where the average for coyote was six dollars makes me never want to skin a coyote.

I’ve got the skin off 2 already, the fresh one from today will get peeled tomorrow evening. The 3 frozen ones should be ready to peel hopefully Thursday or Friday evening. Once the skins off I got time. Learning tricked every time. I lay it on a table and money cut the back, slit from the front foot pad to just past the elbow. Skin out as much of the front leg as as I can and cut the feet off around the first joint. Make sure to leave the back knee joints to hang it! Before hanging, while it’s on the table, I start skinning the face past the eyes almost up to the ears. Then I hang and peel it off. Super easy that way and relatively clean.
Couple eagles were airborne as we left too!
Was just about to post a pic, but they’re obviously non targets.

Congrats on the catches!
And yeah, my post get deleted if I even mention catching an incidental. The mods must have a fondness for wolves, lol.

Good job! I'll have to watch the video when I am home and around my computer some time. You've been doing good on the stinky things this winter.

And yeah I've had a couple that were barking and lunging at me, gives a guy a whole different perspective than the ones try and get away or lie down, or just stand there and look the other way.

Is the season closing? Have you decreased the pop. enough not worth your time to continue? Seems like beaver trapping would get you places to set for wolves.

Season closes end of March, but the fur is starting to take a down turn. 11 total this year but only wanted 8. All of them were taken in a 2 mile radius, but evidence dictates that I’m right on a boundry between 2 packs. I think the 2nd last one is the dude that chewed out a couple weeks ago, only 74lb but he’s an old puppy. Deer hunters will notice the difference next fall, farmers were getting a bit ticked off at the numbers too.
There’s beaver action in the whole area, but it’s just too busy with all the other trapping so we save the winter beaver action for late February. That can be hard tedious work killing the clock. As soon as you get a couple wolves, it kinda screws your day up and you gotta start picking up the pace to get back to the shack by dark.
