Only the second Grey that I’ve caught on my place in the last 5 years. Used to be all we saw +10 years ago.

Little fella got a free pass.

Haha, that’s how I feel about Reds. They’re very few and far between. Those Grays are feisty little critters!

Very cool! We have quite a few here in NM. I usually catch them in by bobcat sets.

Nice Gunnleg, can’t remember the last time I caught or saw a grey I’m my part of SWVA. Sure do miss those guys. Eric

He nodded slightly when he ran across the field Leftlane. Hopeful he eases a Gobbler or good buck my way as a Thank You at some point.

Guessing it’s state wide as I’m a good clip East from you. Crazy the change in just the last 10 years. Seems like trapping the coyotes on my farm over the last 5 years has brought both Reds and Greys (Grays… I never know which is right) back around.

I’ve definitely seen an increased number of reds after I started working on the coyotes but it’s probably been close to 10 years since I’ve seen a grey.

In Iowa - Agree that coyotes are hard on the red fox populations - red fox have moved into towns more where they feel less threaten by coyotes - I think the major decline in gray fox is due to habitat loss.

Very cool! Thank you for sharing. On my short list of critters I ain't caught in my region yet. Seen a couple over the years driving the roads and in the woods. Fox numbers are low and yote numbers high in my area of MI. Been that way for a while.
