The worst caliber I have shot that really hurt my ears was a .357 magnum. I always wear ear protection. I was very young when I shot one frequently never again.

I hope you love it. I am more than a little fond of my Tarus revolver with its 6 1/2" barrel.
I can hit with it too!

Don’t forget to look into trail boss powder and make some 45 long colt loads for practice. Maybe get Wolfie to cast some 260 grain flat nose. As mentioned before Hodgens H 110 is your friend in the big capacity pistol cartridgesfor jacketed loads

Already have some 45 long colt loads as I also own a judge 410 that also shoots those.

Get some Buffalo Bore ammunition in the heaviest penetrator loads.
Yes, very loud.
Do not grip the revolver in front of the cylinder.

Hopefully when you go trapping in Alaska the bears will be asleep.
However, the moose are always out and about, and also very dangerous.

saucer and teacup grip

not bad for steadying yourself but not much for recoil recovery

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Nice. I picked up another 7mm rem mag today. I don't really need it I hardly shoot the one I have, but I like Remington 700's and I like stainless and it was a good buy at the pawn shop. I kinda wish it was a .243, but I have several already, and I don't have very many magnum or big bore rifles.
