Don’t forget to look into trail boss powder and make some 45 long colt loads for practice. Maybe get Wolfie to cast some 260 grain flat nose. As mentioned before Hodgens H 110 is your friend in the big capacity pistol cartridgesfor jacketed loads

Get some Buffalo Bore ammunition in the heaviest penetrator loads. Yes, very loud. Do not grip the revolver in front of the cylinder.
  Hopefully when you go trapping in Alaska the bears will be asleep. However, the moose are always out and about, and also very dangerous.
