Bad: got a tire leaking air on my truck Good: Wife took a day off work to bring a elderly friend, with no family, to a medical procedure. Also, I had smoked pork tamales for lunch!

Bad: knees still hurting with every step.

Good: other folks have a lot worse problems than my knee pain, so Im humbled. A cottonmouth that could of bit me today did not bite me. I captured an old male beaver (had barkstone castors) on a nuisance job that took me 11 days to catch (He had 4 toes on one of his back feet (I had his other toe in the bed of my truck from a while back) . Wife is fixing supper now while I sit on my arse (fried chicken, butterbeans, creamed corn). Life is GOOD!

Love me some fried chicken! I cooked tonight. Fried also but pork chops not chicken. Side were mashed and gravy, corn and stuffing. Ladies of the house enjoyed! I ate a late lunch so wife will have left overs tomorrow for lunch as I dined on a little Jim Beam.

Congrats to Chuckie on the better job. It can be scary and sometimes takes balls to change like that! Gal my wife helped out today is an ex early school teacher of hers. Never moved away after retirement, never married or had kids, and all her kin have passed. They reconnected in the last couple years through a friend. A group of other gal friends and the two of them are taking a trip to England this year together. She comes over every couple weeks, to have dinner with our family, I make her dinner with wine. She really enjoys talking with my daughters. I think she is at the point in her life where she is lonely having never married. She is a flirt and fun to be around. At my age I will take all the attention I can get! lol kidding

you know I'm doing all right

I am here , everyone is still here
I am one caliper away from having the brakes done on the Expedition , it goes in to get the frame straitened and new bumper 3/3/2025 , it got rear ended 11/2/2024 I have the part I need about an hour to finish and bleed the lines.

my newer truck , took a deer hit 2/1/2025 and sits in the drive way it needs well everything forward of the fan

the week before that I blew a tire on my older truck , my wood hauler , so I put 4 new tires on it and a battery the day after the tires.

my best friend is dying of cancer

I bought a minivan on 2/3 because I needed something to drive them back and forth to chemo 100 mile round trip

I am wondering if I should fix the truck I hit the deer with , I now own 4 vehicles and I am the only driver of course only 2 move at the moment. the 98 that has a lot of rust but runs good and now sitting on 4 new 10 ply tires and the mini-van.

so embrace the suck and maybe listen to this song

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Fantastic.
I've been in my lab most of the day completing a preliminary cyanide leach test on some gold ore from my mine. The first go at it I was able to achieve a 75% gold recovery, and a 69% silver recovery. I don't really care about the silver as it only amounts to about 3 ounces of silver to the ton of ore, whereas the ore contains 2 ounces of gold to the ton. With some tweaking of the process I should be able to recover over 90% of the gold.
