Sadly, it appears to be true.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

How many of you WI folks have ever been stopped and checked by a GW? Once, when I was 12. Made me paddle the canoe back to grandpa's house to make sure I was under 16 and didn't need a license.

How many of you WI folks have ever been stopped and checked by a GW? I can't speak for guys in other parts of the state. Here along the Mississippi River i used to be checked regularly fish and duck hunting. In the 1970s and 1980s into 1990s. It was common to be check if you were deer hunting on public ground. At least in areas I hunted. I was only once in my life checked while trapping. Mac

How many of you WI folks have ever been stopped and checked by a GW? Whats your point If you are asking, I’m afraid you’re too far gone to comprehend an explanation.

Did they raise the park sticker price, You know so as everybody could feel the pinch, not just hunters, trappers and fisherman? Agree 100%....these states need to find a way to get money from all the users of public land and natural resources, not just the consumptive users.

Hobbie, please provide the direct correlation between the number of times being checked by a game warden and the price of hunting and fishing licenses (yes, we all know license revenue pays salaries). I know folks that claim to get checked every time they step foot in the woods and others that are in their 70s and never been checked once. They all pay the same license fees, so again, whats your point and where is the direct correlation...?? Serious question I figured he was saying , just don't buy a license , if you hunt your private property , the chances of seeing a warden are so low , no back tags required any more , just hunt during the season as to not tip off neighbors to your ways. and he would be mostly correct if you owned a 40 and only hunted it and butchered your own deer and weren't hunting for horns , yup if your already 60 I bet you could fly under the radar the rest of your life if you can keep your mouth shut. of course when you do shoot a monster buck you also have to just butcher it up and keep your yap shut. that is what gets most people in trouble. because even if you get caught rifle in hand on your 40 unless you are dragging a deer or the warden just watched you shoot it from the road with binos , you were just coyote hunting something you need no license for as a land owner
