May they both rest in peace. Hackman was my favorite movie villain based upon his roles in Unforgiven and The Quick & the Dead.

One of my favorite movies of his that somehow fell under the radar was” uncommon valor “ it was a film about a guy who has a son being held as a pow in Southeast Asia,,, he recruits his sons army buddies to go in and rescue him.

That was a good one. Also, the one where he was a pilot of that small plane, was shot down and had to be rescued. They used a famous golf course's holes to describe where he was hiding from the NVA who was looking for him.

carbine monoxide poisoning That's funny right there! It does sound like CO poisoning though. Same thing that happened to Vitas Gerulaitis, the tennis player, many years ago. In his case it was due to a malfunctioning gas heater for a pool that leaked CO into the friends guest house where he was staying. Only one of 3 dogs died. One other in the house, one outside. Front door was open but no sign of forced entry. Evidence of mummification so would seem they were dead for a while before being found. Investigation in progress.
