Have 1 of the smaller ones. Had the same problem getting it lit. Blew the gas lines out with the air hose, and lightly sanded the thermo-coupler where the pilot light hits. Been running good ever since.

I used alcohol on a q tip and jammed it in that office a few times and cleaned it out. Worked great after. I searched YouTube for that.

Like a lot of things, if you want something to last, and want it to work when you need it, take care of it. I store mine in the boxes they come in. No spider webs, no dust, none of the problems people get from neglect.

I’ve had one for many years. Use it when the wife hunts with me. Never had any trouble, never needed to clean it.

Hmm some good info, it seems they are really liked or really hated. I have tried what most are posting but
will try a couple things like sanding the thermo couple and checking lines better. All in all I think they are made
to throw away sooner than later for most. Mines been barely used but not stored in box so maybe spiders?
