I been cutting hedge posts out at the family farm. The ground in the corn stubble was getting real soft. It's dried some now but rain/snow predicted for the middle of the week.
I'll take 0 degrees over 100 degrees any time. Heat drains my energy and I don't have any to begin with.

I tried to warn you. AK has been pretty warm all winter from what I have seen.

Exactly right . It has been a terrible winter with several thaws, rain, and ice storms.

My chickens have been roaming around the yard. Where I blew snow it is open, so they like that. I saw two starlings and a gold finch today. There is a 70% chance of snow tonight and into tomorrow morning. So it is not over yet. The worst blizzard I ever saw here was 14 April. It flat snowed and blew for three days.
