I have a lot of friends who are retired from the military, mostly from the Airforce, but Marines, Army and Navy too. All of the ones I have talked to think the VA wastes tons of money and get tired of talking to multiple levels of employees, before they get to one who can actually make a decision about what they need done. The bureaucracy infuriates them. I believe the VA could and should be run better.

Well this is just 2024. The government only cost me money no benefits of any kind just more fees and red tape. So it’s time to pare it back a little and get more effective at what it’s supposed to do. This was just 2024 so there is probably more and no one gave a rip about it so…..

I aint saying they dont need to reorganize - but I hope they are dang sure of where they make cuts. Trained medical personnel can be awfully hard to come by now days.

My ex worked for the VA, she woke up late everyday, hung over and miserable. She was making 80k a year to hide out and wear off a hangover.

It can't be reorganized and fixed, unless that means that all VA patients get to simply go straight to a private sector doctor without the headaches caused by the VA.
