Last night I lost my yellow lab Lilly. The last 10 years have been filled with unimaginable pain. I have lost my dad, mom, daughter, aunt, my heeler and now my lab in that order. What am I doing wrong or not seeing with all this loss. Lilly was only 6.5 years old. Doc thinks an infection from a uti went to her brain. She has been in an animal hospital since Tuesday being treated. Folks, I've had enough of this pain. I should be used to it. My life and my wife's life has been filled mostly pain. I just don't get it. Living wrong or being tested? I don't know anymore. Going to pick her up this morning, so my day will be spent digging a hole and trying to make sense of all this loss.

Pain and suffering don't mean you are anymore sinful than the next guy. That's what Job's friends tried to tell him and God wasn't happy with them. Sorry for your losses.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I think my mother had the best answer...When Mom was diagnosed with ALS, she initially asked why me?
Mom thought on this a while, and then said ..."Well, why not me"?
That statement was a total projection of strength, understanding & faith....That was her makeup & attitude her whole life... Any man would hope to be half that strong.
I put down & buried my 11 yr old Flat Coated Retriever yesterday. Sorry to hear about your dog and other troubles Sgt. C
