The AR bolt is so easy to dissemble, no gas tube to worry about, I think you should try home made black powder and cast bullets in that rifle.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Still waiting for the rain to stop to shoot it with factory ammo and still need to work on the actual video but these are some screen shots front the bore scope. Wish they started selling the uppers by themselves sooner because yeaaahhh. But hay I don't buy Natty light expecting high priced beer so. And was planning on replacing the barrel with something else anyway so meh

Put some life back in that 22 hornet barrel with a barrel liner Wolfy.

I just did my first .22 barrel liner job and it does a nice job without any special tools other than the piloted drill bit.

You know I've actually been looking at doing that . Was reading some post on it he other night . Still need a lathe to chamber it though after re lining. But I'm a little over half way saved up for that right now so grin

I cheated,

I did some calculations and stopped drilling at the freebore . used the old chamber this way and it worked fine.

The liner I bought had some free ore in it.

Speaking of lathes, here's one I'm pretty sure I'll have soon. Length and spindle bore are perfect for gun barrel work.

The lathe I have now is twice this size, but this one will be nice for the garage at my house.

Just got whatever factory stuff I could . Not much selection round here but it's something, never known PMC to shoot too well in anything honestly but hay.

I'm dropping that low right one in the hornady group. Was obvious that ammo shot better then everything else so I shot two more just to see. Might have been me might have been whatever but 6 out of 7 in a group a bit over and inch... I'll say that's decent odds lol

Well lemme finish moving stuff around. In the house and I can measure this brass and start in that
