A South Carolina prisoner was executed by firing squad yesterday at his request. Justice served. You reap what you sow.

Seems like a better method to me than injection or gas. Hanging ought to be brought back also. Even if the neck does not break I doubt a human is conscious any longer than a coyote. If the head pops off he is still dead. been a lot of problems with injections, electricity and gas.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I don't get the concern for a pain free death for those sentenced to death. Typically they have committed horrible crimes with zero regard for the victims pain often enjoying causing the pain. When they are sentenced to death They should experience the same pain and fear they inflicted on their victims. And they should be killed quickly after appeals should not take 20 years.

I would like it better if the family got to pull the trigger. I do wish the family could decide the fate of those convicted in capital cases.

I believe one of the firing squad unknowingly has blanks. Thats the way it was when Eisenhower ordered Private Eddie Slovik shot back in WW11 as a coward who deserted.

I would like it better if he died the same way he killed ,beat to death with a ball bat. The thing that is amazing he was convicted in 2001 and admitted it, should have died in 2002 not 24 years later. x2

South Carolina governor doesn't play well with convicted murderers. Now we must wait 30 days before we do the next one. I say let's put in an express lane and save tax payers money. Light them up.

I propose bringing back public executions on PAY PER VIEW - if it offends you don't watch, use money generated to pay for prisons etc. Heck do like the other TV shows call in and vote for this weeks method - have to pay though. i think it would make millions!
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure

Sounds like a great way to exponentially increase wrongful convictions. | | |
