Our governor just signed a new bill into law. There will now be mandatory firearms safety taught in school starting this year. Another step in the right direction, & this was introduced by a law maker from my county.

I just saw a poll on our local news 87% of parents are against this ideal. That surprises me. Glad they don't get the choice

If only the state would be more proactive in reducing feral hogs

USDA folks trap about 2000 a year in my county. I once killed 153 on 62 acres in six months. Havent killed one in six months. Not many left. Google arkansas feral hog task force

I was glad when I read that today on the web it’s about time our state takes a stand and our governor probably has a sneaky suspicion that most of our kids in the state will need to know this valuable information one day if it’s just to protect themselves and there loved ones

We're getting so many west coast folks moving here, that poll is not surprising. Now if it were a poll of native Arkansans I bet there wouldn't be so many against. It's a common sense law and will very likely decrease the amount of accidental shootings. Glad it passed.
