Looks like a very decent avg for beaver considering the market. As far as caster….are they talking about little wheels for desks or did they mean castor as in castoreum?

Good prices for the most part, considering the market right now. Nice job Kentucky!

The buyers were very active at our sale for the beavers. I don’t understand the teens averages beaver up until now. We had a lot in the thirties.

Those are good prices for our Kentucky fur.

A buddy and I sold to Groenwold yesterday at Crossville, TN and our averages were we lower than those.

I did not have much, but Ill share what they brought:

8 green beaver: 2/$20 4/$12 2/$5
1 cat, 35", mediocre belly $20
2 otter both XL, one caught January 3rd, the other a couple weeks ago: 20$/$15
2 3X coons $6 apiece
6 rats 1/$4 4/$2.75 1/$1.75

All the fur was put up except for the beaver.

We’ll see I reckon lol
When buyers who sold many tons of hatter beaver last year do not have one order yet, it ain’t a rosy picture at the moment.

Fur buying is a tough business. That's why just when you find a good buyer, consistently paying more than the competition, he disappears the next year.

I heard a rumor that Amish buyers bought most of the beaver? Can anyone who was there verify?
