The big one I put up yesterday was thick & heavy dark, but the guards aren’t like the ones I got a month ago. Maybe this old warrior was just a bit unhealthy. His teeth are really short, couple healed scares in the back, but his tail wasn’t nipped. Also probably ran into a front catch foothold a few years ago, arm healed at the wrist with fur all grown in.

I have quite a few like those surprisingly. It was a very interesting year here for me..
I shipped some of my better fox to Idaho with claws on and between this area producing so many dark beavers I can say I think I’ve caught some of my nicest fur ever including when I lived up north trapping Pa., nj and Vt. Still have rats beaver and fox to get put up.
