What gets a guy a week, a year, or a permanent ban......not planning on violating. Just asking for a friend.

I don't know that there are any set in stone rules. Kinda up to the discretion of the admins. Generally first time offenders get 3 days-week depending on the severity, but if you do something really atrocious, your first ban could also be your only ban. For example, if you attack the site owner, or his admin/mods, you're probably in pretty big trouble.

Swearing, posting non-target catches, talking about dispatch, flaming someone that's not a mod, political posts, etc., will likely get you 3 days-week for your first offense. Subsequent offenses usually result in longer sentences. For example, if 30-06 came on here today cussing after just getting unbanned, I'm sure he'd get at least a month, if not permanent. If your last prior offense was a year or more ago, you might luck out the next time and also get a short ban. It really just depends. On how big of a nuisance you are to the mods.

All of these comments are my own, unofficial comments... just what I've put together after being on this forum for 20+ years.

OH and if you post in the trap shed, be sure to read and adhere to all the rules there first, because breaking one of those rules results in an immediate suspension of your privilege to post there.

Weeellll, I can give you an educated & experienced answer by golly because I’ve had a 1-yr banning and a 1-wk banning. I take great profane umbrage when someone gets personal with me on this board. In my entire adult life I’ve never stood for it and I will not here either but it got me a year off. I got a week banning when I took profane umbrage to someone calling MY President a fool which jerked my bobber real well!

Those two things which I never allowed to go unchallenged in even more of a profane & physical way in real life and work life I have great difficultly conforming on this board when those two particular things occur. Some might ask why I get profane so easily, well because of my personality, I never get personal, and I can’t (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)-slap an A-hole through the internet!! Things stay cool, I stay cool as long as nobody gets personal with me which is a serious offense with me and but I can do better when someone calls my President names and turn the other cheek!

I have been banned for a type O,,, because I did not have my cheaters on.
Richard got me banned.
Disrespectful comments to the boss got me a permanent ban.

Just the current one, none of the others have incited anything close to endearment to me so than it’s all about my Country first above all! Let me be clear, my recent week off was because of what was said about our President, the person was not derogatory about our Country. When I turn the other cheek it’ll be just enough not to get my butt kick-off again or force myself not to respond and leave the thread.
