That's what happens when you let the bunny snugglers determine trapping ( vote of the people)and have a WDFW Commission that are bunny snugglers

Wondering what the penalty is for using traps on your own property there in Washington?? Illegal use of bodygripping traps (conibears, footholds and snares) is a gross misdemeanor which has a maximum penalty of up to a year in jail and $10,000 fine. I only know one person that has been sentenced for the offense. The penalty ended up being $1000 per trap. 11 traps total so $11,000 fine and no jail time.

People voted for that crap .........shame on the state wildlife agencies for trying to hide the problem ........people voted for that crap ! State Wildlife Agency's are RULED by the state Governor. They have NO CHOICE buy to toe the political line. Don't blame them, It's the very same circumstances here in Colorado with our Gay, AR, Liberal, Democrat, Governor. He gives the orders.

My ex sister-in-law lives in Bellevue, been there for decades. Although she was born and raised in northeast Wisconsin, she is well indoctrinated in the liberal western culture. Over the years, Bellevue has really grown and has a diverse ethnic and cultural makeup.
My ex SIL, as a dog person having 5 at last count, she would have opened her door for a dog/coyote sitting on her door mat and let it in, figuring it was a stray and needing food and care. While we trappers recognize a coyote for what it is, sorry to say, the majority of urbanites can't tell the difference between a dog, coyote, or wolf. Only reason they would say one or another would be because someone had told them what the animal was.

I feel sorry for the young child. Unless the specific coyote can be determined by DNA, this child will be going thru a rabies series of shots if the coyote broke the skin. We don't know, those details weren't given. But yes, these types of incidents will continue to happen as long as people continue to vote with their feelings rather than with their brains.

The people really did vote for this. It was passed by Citizen Initiative. Guess which county put it over the top, King County which is where Bellevue is located.

Isn't Washington one of those states that has tight restrictions on trapping? If so, this incident might make them rethink their laws. Or, they might just make up an excuse in favor of the coyote.
If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

Isn't Washington one of those states that has tight restrictions on trapping? If so, this incident might make them rethink their laws. Or, they might just make up an excuse in favor of the coyote. It is a Democrat controlled state. Remember these people are the same ones that refer to individuals as minor attracted individuals, mostly peaceful protestors, and make every excuse they can dream up to avoide any logic reason and accountability. So my vote goes for excuses. Like the nasty hunters are shooting so much game the poor coyots are forcer to hunt pets and kids in town.
