Not looking for sympathy or anything like that. But at 33 thought I had a heart attack and after 2 er visits was told had anxiety and panic attacks. Just curious how you handled all of it and control it. It's been 3 months since it all has went down for me and still struggling with getting a grasp on things.

Been there and done that. Thought I was having a heart attack and also felt like my mind was outside my body and didn't know if I was going to be able to get back in. And that was without doing any intentional astral projecting, lol. If you are trading any fast moving markets, getting into politics too deep, listen to the news without missing even one broadcast for fear the world might end and you wouldn't know it, married to the devils sister, friends that could care less about your welfare, and the list goes on, then you might be a candidate for an anxiety attack.
Hadn't been to a Dr. for a few years and got a young girl practitioner and after a few test she said I was having anxiety attacks. After my initial thought that she didn't know what it was and was just saying that because she had nothing else. Well after a few doses of Buspar I decided she is a genius.

Lyme disease/ other tick borne disease. I lived with it for years till I was properly diagnosed by a LLMD, I had been to several regular doctors prior to that, they had no clue, their answer was anxiety medication, thank to God I kept searching for the real problem behind it.

Don’t be ashamed. I used to be a lot worse. Had to be on medication for a while. It can be debilitating to wake up so nervous you can’t even function; sometimes for no particular reason. I wish I could recommend something that would help you but I think everyone’s journey is different.
Best thing I have found is to help others in some way. It’ll get your mind off you and your struggles.

Sorry to hear this klfessl and Nate.
The sermon today at church was about psalm 62

My soul finds rest in God alone, my, salvation comes from him alone.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, he is my fortress,I will never be shaken…..

Aka…… Trust in the lord…

I went to a medical provider that was qualified to diagnose the issue, and they prescribed medication. In addition to that, I sought counsel of a professional to get down to causes and conditions. I'm pretty content these days.

If you have grandkids with ADHD give this a try, it helps with anxiety too.

I take these an hour before I go to bed; two gummies, two melatonin, one lions mane, and one magnesium.
(I take these at 7, go to bed at 8, and get up at 4) i.e. you don't want to take them late and get up early.

Do that for a few weeks and see what you think.

I do and I haven't dealt with it very well. I can't get my mind to relax, and often don't get much enjoyment and I'm constantly worrying. I just hide it pretty well while I'm at work. I also don't get much sleep. One of these days it'll get me one way or another.

I didn’t, until I got hurt 3 years ago.. it’s a very long story, but I talked to my doctor about it and I got some medicine for it. I don’t like medication,, but it helps me considerably.
I also try to remember Joshua 1:8-9. I will wholeheartedly believe that there was a reason I was seeing referrals to this several times a week.. it wasn’t just coincidence.

My father would get those, but only when he was in his 70's, same thing, thought he was having a heart attack. Wasn't a regular thing, and he wasn't on any medication, just came on a few times. He was a worrier though.

My mother, 12 sister and youngest brother have experienced multiple episodes. Mom passed 20 years ag0, my sister had 1 ambulance ride, some meds and counseling and is doing well. My younger brother who is also very reclusive had two emergency trips but has not done any other preventative measures.

I'm 34 and have it really bad, I take medication and just started to see a professional about it. The medication, as much as I hate the idea of taking it, has helped immensely.

Us humans are not adapted to the constant feed of negative news, economic fallout, social media, excel spreadsheets, corporate ladder climbing, paying bills, taxes etc as much as we'd like to think.

I never sweat things until later then it’s later so it’s not so bad. I had a tow truck driver ask me once, “don’t dead people bother you?” I told him you're either dead or alive I treat them both with respect that all I can do.

You do know - you can limit the news, live below your means, turn social media off, don't climb the ladder, do pay your bills on time...........we control most of that - we have the ability to control most of our self-induced stress.

My sister in law and wife both have suffered panic attacks. Now when they anticipate a trigger they take the Bach botanical “ Rescue” which seems to really work well for them. Fairly cheap too. About $14 on Amazon.

only a few times in my life. Once when taking down all the equipment used building one of the smoke stacks I built. The stack tapered so I was outside the stack 10 to 12 feet and on a 6" pair of aluminum channels bolted back to back with lugs for the cables that held them up sandwiched in the middle. I had removed all the cable bracing and it was twisting back and forth a lot without any of the weight on it from lifting equipment. when I knocked the pin in the turn bucket loose it dropped a little maybe an inch but that and the twisting and being bouncy 640' above the ground and about 30mph wind I fought panic for a second. Had to breath deep calm down and tell myself one move at a time and focus in the simple moving right foot back left hand back ect.

That was my first time ever feeling panicked like that. In my minds eye I saw myself pitch off to the right heading for the ground.

BUT also had two other times with a similar panicked feeling just being in confined spaces in the last 3 years. One slow hot elevator at the state fare in indy and the other time in a maze at the city museum in St Louis. I had never had issues in small spaces before that in my life. But started at around 42.

Wife told me I have it when I'm thinking on things a lot. Do I? It's not something that causes me issues I don't "think" But then again when I can't sleep and my brain wont shut down maybe thats what that is called and thee are just different levels?
