Yes I can see the difference between the heavy barrel and my Ruger standard, so there is a gun show coming up on the 12th of April here I will be seeing about a new heavy barrel 22 for the Suppressor I have !

Only costs $125.00 for the barrel work here, might be a bit more for moving the sight back as well, thats ok I got the suppressor in a deal as a free bribe with buying another for my AR from Silencer Central, so it works out Ok !

Yes it was long enough when it was cut down the cut off was enough to make the thread protector from. I should have detailed that in my first post. I would have been scratching my head same as you trying to figure out where the material for thread protector came from if I didn't know. Sorry for my limited explanation in my first post.
