He won’t have problems. The collars are a great research tool and won’t affect him much. If someone starts complaining about wolf predation, this can verify or eliminate this fella as a suspect.
For the odd one that think wolves don’t belong in North America, all you need is a management plan and trappers to get out there and implement it. I love these things and it’d suck not having them around to trap. So now you’re calling the wolf trappers out there idiots? Who’s the real idiot? If you got wolves eating your precious elk, manage your resources properly. If you got a stupid management plan, do something to help change it.
Stay in the city with your “Modern Day” America.

Elkguys comments were not meant for you lucky Canucks that still get to keep them. He is referring the the woke idiot states down here who refuse to let us manage them as is needed. They have made a mess of the west by introducing a subspecies into the Rockies that was never meant to be there. Then protecting them by making it illegal to deal with them once they run amuck…. Shocker for the biologists to find out that the doggies didnt stay within the confines of their zoo(Yellowstone)….

It's BS when they use the "sub species" crap. I hope you guys (and gals) see some change. They've tried it here but to no avail.

I always figured a lot of them just vanish when they become a problem for ranchers or just walk out in front of a hunter that's board and has weak ethics. I can't count the times I have over heard people talk about the bobcat they shot when deer hunting even though they are / were protected here. I assume wolf would be similar?

I’m guessing that 11 year old will never forget walking up on that set and seeing a wolf in it. Hopefully she will be a trapper for life. Either way she should be proud of herself.

That happens around here, except the farmers don't SSS, they let MB Agriculture know. Never been fined as far as I know. It takes too long for Mb Ag to come out and verify the kill, then go to MTA to get a trapper on it. If there's more than one wolf involved and the farmer can't get him we get involved.

It would be nice to send them back where we got them from. Being in Iowa, you don't deal with the impact of the wolf like we do...

Go Barnstormers!

X2 Thats for sure
