Yes, prayers for the folk.
In the pic , every red box on the pic is a tornado. That mess came through here this morning and didn't get too violent. A small tornado up to the north west around Nevada, Mo.
Now the Arkansas folk are forecast to get up to 15" of rain in the next few days. Bad business.

Multiple tornado warnings in our area tonight, several on the ground. Sirens going off every few minutes. We are expecting 7" to 14" of rain Wednesday through Saturday.

Prayers for all involved, wish we could have spring come in without all of that.

Looks like tomorrow the western half of the state might get what the eastern half of the state got last night. Work with a couple who moved here from Washington and they're getting the full effect of springtime in the south. Watch your top knot.

Having grown up with spring tornado season I've been wondering which is worse, the way it was without all this up to the minute week in advance warnings and just dealing with what you got dealt or the almost panic speculation of what might be of today.

Also as a part of today's tech is detection of tornadoes that once wouldn't have been noticed.

We had five F0 to F1 tornadoes in the adjacent counties that were on the ground for less than five miles and only one hit F1 for a few yards none of which were more than a few yards wide. Heck I drove through the touchdown zone of one just thirty minutes later and noticed nothing other than a 4"inch sweet gum and a 3" pine down. I only learned that it was officially a tornado by reading news reports.

Sometimes I do wonder. They let the schools out early for the coming storms yesterday. They sure didn't do that when I was a kid.
Now snow and ice, that was and still is Armageddon. lol
