Thanks for the help guys! A while back I posted pictures of a set in the creek bottom and Danny suggested putting a set up on the high ground. This morning I got my first coyote. I'm surprised how calm it is. Its just hanging out, digging some and eating the dirt that's stunk up with bait. Its probably been 2 weeks or more since I touched that trap.

That look out over the creek will turn out to be a productive location over the years if the area doesn't change too much. Should catch some cats on that creekside area also if it stays at a low water level.

Yeah, its almost aways very low.
In the last week or so we got around 1.4 inches of rain spread out nicely over a week. There is still no water flow in the creek entering my property (just some puddles), and just this very minor flow leaving the property. I've got some springs on my land that weep water most of the year. The flow rate will pick up for part of the spring, but it won't get deep here.

About once a year it floods. In the spring we can get heavy rain after a week of rain so it mostly runs off. When that happens, it the creek can get 50 yards wide in places. It will be like that for 12-24 hours, then quickly calming back down.
