I just got back from driving down to deal with it. No pictures worthy of savell's snarling thread, but that's ok. She's quite blond.

If the fur looks good, that would be a good one to have tanned. Pretty but of low value to a fur buyer.

Your first coyote is ALWAYS a good one to have tanned.

Nice job. I have a question about location and it must have been a good one . Seems access is from 1 way only Its like a giant dirt hole and the wind would have to be perfect to draw him to investigate that point. Just interested in your reasoning .

Don't be looking for deep strategy from me in the reasoning. I'm new to this and just figuring things out.
that's a creek bed down below. The creek makes a bit of a curve here, so yes there's a point. But maybe not as much of a point as that photo suggests.

My reasoning was pretty simple. I saw a lot of tracks down in the creek bottom, so I thought I'd try setting down there. I posted some pictures here asking for feedback, and got a suggestion to set on the high bank also. So I did. Opossum kept digging up my set in creek so eventually I removed that one, leaving me with a couple DP and the duke 650 set that eventually got the coyote.

This is my hunting land, about an hour drive from my house. So I'm limited to places I can get cameras so I can check them daily with the cameras and drive down when I have something. I'm using POE and wifi connected cameras, so my reasoning starts with looking at where I can get a camera. From there, I look at what looks promising. And when someone on here makes a suggestion, I try to do it.

A couple nights ago a bobcat came through here again, but used a tree to cross the creek, avoiding the low ground.

Here's a better view of the area. The set that got the coyote is very near the center of the camera's initial position.
